Croton (Codiaeum variegatum)

The Croton shrub comes in a wonderful array of color combinations and leaf shapes making this a marvelous accent plant or hedge when left unpruned growing to 6-10 feet. There are more than 40 distinct varieties as well as countless other specimens with new combinations evolving constantly. This shrub, which is native to Malaysia, the Pacific Islands, and northern Australia, is available in sizes ranging from dwarf to small trees. The shrub prefers moist, well-drained soil with full to partial sun.
