European Fan Palm (Chamaerops humilis)

The European Fan Palm is noted for its ability to withstand temperatures below 20 degrees as well as being fast growing and drought resistant. The palm forms clumps that grow to approximately 15 feet with fan-shaped leaves growing about 2 feet long and 2 feet wide. The frond color ranges from blue-green to yellow-green with small, bright yellow flowers. The palm prefers well drained soils and bright sun to partial shade.
